Orlando Pirates coach Milutin Sredojevic feels his side outplayed Mamelodi Sundowns in ‘all aspects’ during their Absa Premiership clash on Monday, but just couldn’t outscore their opponents.
Pirates came into the encounter knowing that three points would see them draw level at the top of the table with their opponents, Sundowns, on the evening.
However, after a tight and tactical encounter the game finished goalless, which pleased one camp more than the other.
Downs now remain top of the table, three points clear of the Soweto giants, who face third-placed Bidvest Wits on the weekend.

Speaking to the media after the game, the Serbian tactician revealed his disappointment at the result as he thought his charges had totally outplayed their opponents on the evening.
‘We have in all the aspects of football outplayed our opponents [Sundowns],’ said Sredojevic.
‘Unfortunately, we didn’t outscore and my facial expression is exactly that of being unhappy because we didn’t outscore our opponents.
‘We are extremely proud of the way in which our players applied themselves on the field of play, as I said we outplayed our opponents in all aspects of the game. However, despite applying ourselves, outscoring our opponent is the missing factor,’ concluded the Pirates coach.
