Orlando Pirates coach Milutin Sredojevic says his side have not found their goal-scoring form despite claiming a 3-1 victory over Baroka on Saturday.

The Buccaneers climbed to fifth in the Absa Premiership standings with 23 points after claiming three points against Bakgaga at the Orlando Stadium.

Musa Nyatama opened the scoring for the host before Luvuyo Memela bagged a brace to put the game to bed, despite Mduduzi Mdantsane pulling a goal back for the visitors.

‘We started like a house on fire. The first 30 minutes was our best performance so far this season. We removed their blocks and scored three goals,’ Sredojevic told the media.

‘We conceded a penalty where we should have concentrated better, and the most dangerous scoreline is when you are two goals up, your confidence is still not high.’

Sredojevic believes that Pirates have not solved their goal-scoring problem, despite putting three goals past Baroka.

‘We have always tried to tell the players just to continue to play our style of football because things will open for us. Stop thinking about missing chances, but about creating or proactively converting; it’s still far from perfection,’ he added.

Orlando Pirates will next face Mamelodi Sundowns in the Absa Premiership when the two sides lock horns at Loftus Versfeld Stadium on Saturday, with kick-off set for 15:30.
