Orlando Pirates coach Milutin Sredojevic is confident the club’s new signings will ‘add quality and value’ to the squad ahead of their clash against Maritzburg United.
The Buccaneers bolstered their squad by adding the likes of Diamond Thopola, Phetso Maphanga, Xola Mlambo and Augustine Mulenga to the team during the January transfer market.
Sredojevic says he is satisfied with his new recruits and believes they will add quality and value to help the club achieve their goals.
‘The transfer window recently closed,’ Sredojevic said.
‘We, as a technical team, have been fully focused on the players we have in order to make them competitive. From now on we will have all the players that we bought available, but we don’t have much time. The competitions continue, we have the Martizburg game coming up, and then a cup game.
‘But I believe the players we have brought will add quality and value that will succeed in filling the mosaic of our team so that we move towards the end of the season keeping our ambitions intact.’
Orlando Pirates will now welcome Maritzburg United to the Orlando Stadium when the two sides meet in the Absa Premiership on Saturday, with kickoff set for 20:15.
