Orlando Pirates coach Milutin Sredojevic says his side have to be more clinical in the final third, following their 2-2 draw with Polokwane City on Saturday.

Pirates striker Thamsanqa Gabuza earned his side a point after his brace cancelled out goals by Rendani Ndou and Rodney Ramagalela at the Peter Mokaba Stadium.

The Serbian coach insists his side have to be more clinical in attack and defence after the Buccaneers conceded two goals in eight minutes.

‘We needed to be clinical, end-to-end stuff. We conceded two goals against the run of play at the time we had chances to score. In the end I think justice is slow, but reachable,’ the coach told SuperSport TV after the match.

‘We didn’t punish them after dominating. This is the best way to learn. This is by far the best football [game] we’ve played from the football point [of view]. We created many chances, but we could not convert.

‘However, we’re going into the break with critical analysis [in mind] of why we conceded like this when we were supposed to have the emotional intelligence to control the situation to not go in attack after a counter-attack. A big team like Pirates need to play with domination and close counter-attack.

‘We are on a good road and happy with the point, regretfully we didn’t win. The last goal is the sign of the mental strength from the team. I’m happy the players gave everything, respecting the badge.’
