Orlando Pirates coach Milutin Sredojevic has insisted that he’s not worried about their challengers for the league title, saying they are only thinking about themselves.

The Buccaneers suffered a damaging 1-0 loss at the hands of SuperSport United during the week, as they missed the chance to close the gap with league leaders Bidvest Wits and second-placed Mamelodi Sundowns, who face each other in a top-of-the-table clash on Saturday.

As a result, the Sea Robbers remain in third position, four points off the top, but this has not deterred Sredojevic, who insists that his side are only focused on their own race.

‘First of all, we’re not thinking about anyone else except ourselves. We prepared ourselves very well and knew that one moment of brilliance could decide the game,’ said Micho.

‘Our first half was not good enough, because we had so many turnovers when we were supposed to keep the ball under easy circumstances.

‘However, when we lost the ball, we allowed the opponents to counter-attack, but at half-time we corrected that and decided to go with more possession and take better care of the ball.

‘We also looked to be more adventurous going towards the opponent’s goal, and that penalty, which we unfortunately missed, was supposed to be the turning point in the game.

‘In the end we lost the game, which is a setback for us, but now the masterpiece is about how we pull ourselves up, forgetting this match and thinking about AmaZulu on Saturday.’
