Stellenbosch FC defender Rafiq de Goede believes there is no reason why they can’t knock Orlando Pirates out of the Telkom Knockout especially on their current form.
The Soweto giants are looking to reignite their season as they host the newly promoted side at the Orlando Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

It will be the Cape-based club’s first cup match in the South African top flight and, despite their inexperience, De Goede is adamant that they can compete with the Buccaneers.
‘For us as newcomers, there will be no pressure on us. But we will go all out and give our best,’ said the defender.
‘We have every reason to believe that we can beat Pirates. I don’t see why we cannot beat them, especially with their current form.
‘We want to show that we are not in the big league by fluke. We are up for any challenge. Playing in a big competition like the Telkom Knockout is a big challenge.’
“It’s now or never.”
