Mamelodi Sundowns will return to Absa Premiership action when they take on Stellenbosch FC after their congested fixture schedule.
The Brazilians have returned from their tough away fixture in Morocco and are now preparing for their rescheduled league match against Stellies at Loftus on Wednesday.
However, the match – initially supposed to be away – will now be played at home due to Sundowns’ fixture congestion.
Pitso Mosimane’s side will go into this game coming off the back of two consecutive Caf Champions League group-stage games against Petro de Luanda and Wydad Casablanca, respectively.
Masandawana are currently in the midst of a hectic December schedule. They head into the fixture facing a well-rested Stellenbosch side who have not featured in any action since the end of November.
Sundowns will look to continue their recent good run of form, with three wins and one draw in their last four games in all competitions. Wednesday’s opponents Stellenbosch come into the game looking to end a run of four winless games, with their most recent outing ending in a 1-1 draw with SuperSport United.
Downs’ strength in depth will be called upon, with the Telkom Knockout final against Maritzburg United just around the corner.
