Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane has confirmed that new signing Nyiko Mobbie will be loaned out for the upcoming 2019-20 Premier Soccer League (PSL) season.
The Brazilians completed the signing of the right back from Free State Stars. However, Mobbie has not been in pre-season with Sundowns, which could indicate that he is not in the coach’s immediate plan.
The 24-year-old, who was impressive during his time at Ea Lla Koto and made 28 appearances across all competitions, was linked to several clubs including Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs but opted to join Sundowns after impressing Mosimane.
‘We’ve made two signings, [Mauricio] Affonso and Mobbie. We will be loaning out Mobbie,’ Mosimane confirmed during the launch of the new Absa Premiership season.
‘It’s still a process. I haven’t seen him [much].’
Mamelodi Sundowns will play Tshwane rivals SuperSport United in their opening Absa Premiership fixture at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Saturday, with kick-off set for 3pm.
