The South African U20 defender struggled for game at Sundowns and was at the bottom of the pecking order with the likes of Wayne Arendse, Ricardo Nascimento, Motjeka Madisha and Bangaly Soumahoro getting the nod ahead of the starlet.
On an international level, Mukumela has played for South African at Un17 and U20 level while also featuring in the Africa Cup of Nations and Fifa World Cup on both levels.
