Mamelodi Sundowns forward Percy Tau says he is pleased to walk away with at least a point against SuperSport United on Saturday.
The Brazilians maintain their place at the top of the Absa Premiership standings with 40 points after coming from a goal down to secure a 1-1 draw with Matsatsantsa at the Lucas Moripe Stadium.
The 23-year-old scored his ninth goal in the PSL this campaign when he scored an 78th minute equaliser to cancel out Thabo Mnyamane’s first-half strike.
‘Look, I think it was a difficult game because they scored first and we had to come back. But a point is better than nothing,’ Tau told SuperSport TV after the game.
Tau says his side had enough opportunities to put the game to bed, but insists that he is satisfied with a point.
‘We were playing smart, we wanted to get another goal and not give them another one, but we are happy with our performances,’ he added.
‘It was a very tight game, most of the chances were not clear chances but were half-chances. We happy with that we have now.’
Mamelodi Sundowns wil be hoping to return to winning ways when they take on AmaZulu at the King Zwelithini Stadium on Friday, with kickoff set for 18:00.
