Former two-time Footballer of the Season Teko Modise has had his say on who should walk away with the PSL’s most prestigious individual award.
Modise, who won the award for the 2008 and 2009 seasons respectively, believes Hlompho Kekana deserves the award due to the fact that he has been nominated three times for it.

‘I think because Hlompho [Kekana] has been there three times‚ he deserves it‚’ Modise told the media at the PSL monthly awards ceremony.
‘Percy is still young and he still has that gap‚ he can still learn and improve his game‚ he can still win it.
‘Stats don’t lie. Hlompho is still there [nominated] because he’s been consistent over the last three seasons.
‘Percy, we know him and we know all the contribution he’s brought in his team. We can’t ignore that but I’m just saying‚ I will give it to Hlompho,’ he added.
Personally (and a little biased) but really think the @OfficialPSL needs to make a special award for @Hlompho_Kekana – for the third year in a row he’s in the nominations!
Now that is consistency – not the player of the year, the Player of the Triennial!— Rob Delport (@FMSouthAfrica) May 21, 2018
