SuperSport United coach Kaitano Tembo doesn’t believe the 3-1 score line against Orlando Pirates was a true reflection of the game, writes DEAN WORKMAN.

The Buccaneers opened the scoring early on in the Absa Premiership encounter as Vincent Pule rounded off a wonderful move to set the tone for the home side.

SuperSport then grew into the game after the break and eventually grabbed the equaliser through Bongani Khumalo who was found at the back post to head home.

Pirates, however, went on to blow Matsatsantsa a Pitori away in the last 10 minutes as first Thembinkosi Lorch restored Pirates lead before Ben Motshwari ended the game as a contest with his sides’ third.

Despite the score line suggesting that Pirates were dominant, Kaintano Tembo insisted after the match that it was not a true reflection of the game.

‘I don’t think the score was a true reflection [of the game].

‘I think Pirates took their chances and we didn’t take ours. We probably also could have scored three with a bit of luck.

‘But, credit to Pirates because they took their chances and that’s why they won the game,’ concluded the SuperSport United coach.
