Cape Town City have officially announced that midfielder Thato Mokeke committed his future to the club after signing a contract extension with the Mother City-based outfit.
The 31-year-old’s contract was set to expire at the end of the current campaign, but he has since put pen to paper on a two-year contract with the Citizens.
Mokeke has been a crucial part of the City squad since joining the club from SuperSport United during the 2016-17 season and has since gone on to score one goal and claime six assists from 121 appearances across all competitions.
The former Ajax Cape Town midfielder follows club captain Thamsanqa Mkhize, who also recently signed a two-year contract extension.
“The club is delighted to announce that Thato Mokeke has signed a new deal which will see his existing contract extended by a further 2 years,” City announced on their official Twitter page.
“Congratulations Keke!”
