There is no truth in reports linking Montpellier winger Keagan Dolly with a move back to South Africa with Kaizer Chiefs, according to the player’s agent, Paul Mitchell.
Dolly left South African shores in 2017 after a successful spell with Mamelodi Sundowns when they won the 2016 CAF Champions League.
Dolly, though, has been hampered by injuries over the last two seasons which seriously affected the impact he has had in Ligue 1.
The winger made his comeback from injury before the French league season was first suspended and then cancelled altogether because of the coronavirus pandemic.
Mitchell, speaking to SAFM, said that Dolly is in his prime and not looking to come back to South Africa any time soon.
‘Dolly was in full training before lockdown and would have probably been on the bench for the next game,’ said Mitchell.
‘People forget that he broke his leg but thankfully the club values him at this stage. He is definitely staying at Montpellier. So, there is no truth to reports that Dolly is coming back to South Africa.
‘The links to Chiefs are completely untrue. He is still only 27 and is in his prime.
‘His focus is Europe and if he had to leave France, I’m very sure he won’t be coming back to South Africa,’ concluded Mitchell.
