Former Kaizer Chiefs striker Siphelele Mthembu netted the only goal of the game to give Free State Stars a 1-0 victory against SuperSport United on Wednesday night.

The CAF Confederation Cup finalists were handed their third loss of the season and currently languish in ninth spot on the table, having collected 15 points from a possible 27.
