A Ndumiso Mabena inspired brace helped Platinum Stars salvage a point against Mamelodi Sundowns in their Absa Premiership tie on Thursday night at the Lucas Masterpieces Moripe Stadium.

Masandawana took the lead in the fifth minute when Thabo Nthethe reacted quickest to turn home from a goalmouth scramble, however Dikwena levelled matters ten minutes later as Mabena grabbed his first of the night.

The former Orlando Pirates striker grabbed his brace in the 53rd minute to give his side the lead for the first time in the tie, however Yannick Zakri’s first club goal 27 minutes from time ensured Pitso Mosimane’s men take a share of the spoils.
