Kaizer Chiefs will face Highlands Park in their Absa Premiership opener on Sunday, and both Ernst Middendorp and Owen Da Gama were pulling no punches when interacting at the launch of the new season.
Middendorp will be desperate to get off to a good start to the league after an underwhelming 2018-19 campaign where Amakhosi finished trophy-less and outside the top eight.
The German’s team will come up against a well-drilled side in Highlands, who enjoyed a positive campaign last season where they finished seventh in their first season back in the top flight.

Playing at the Makhulong Stadium in Tembisa, the Lions of the North have begun to build a reputation as a physical and aggressive team. When this was put to the coaches, it induced a fiery exchange which will no doubt add extra spice to Sunday’s clash.
