The Glamour Boys extended their lead at the top of the Absa Premiership to 9 points on Sunday afternoon with the comprehensive win over the Citizens at the FNB Stadium on Sunday.
Leonardo Castro opened the scoring in the first half with a well-placed header before Samir Nurkovic and Eric Mathoho scored within the space of a minute from each other in the second half to put Chiefs in control.

Speaking to the media after the game the Middendorp revealed that he believed his side played better in the loss against SuperSport United, while also admitting that his side struggled a bit after playing 3 games in 12 days.

The City coach said that his side played well and were only beaten because of three high balls into the box while he also touched on the injuries and suspensions which plagued his team.
