Watch as Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane and SuperSport United coach Kaitano Tembo discuss their Absa Premiership opener at the league’s launch event.
The Tshwane derby will headline the first week of Absa Premiership fixtures as the defending champions will be hoping to get their title defence up and running with all three points.
They will, however, face their Tshwane rivals who managed to snap an 11-game winless streak against Masadawana with a 2-0 victory towards the back end of last season.
The mindgames had already began for Mosimane, who was looking to downplay his sides chances by highlighting the number of injuries he is contending with. He also complained about the short amount of time his squad has had in pre-season in comparison to the rest of the league.

Tembo, though, would not be dragged into a war of words with his former boss as he insisted his team has their own issues, but would be targeting the win against a quality Sundowns side.
