Bidvest Wits extended their lead at the top of the Absa Premiership table with a 1-0 victory against Orlando Pirates on Thursday night, courtesy of a second-half strike by Cuthbert Malajila.

The Clever Boys moved three points clear at the top of the table after they secured a 1-0 victory against Pirates at the Bidvest Stadium, in addition to second-placed Mamelodi Sundowns playing to a 2-2 stalemate with a plucky Platinum Stars outfit.
