Bidvest Wits midfielder Thabang Monare insists that the club doesn’t put any pressure on their strikers to score all the goals.
The Clever Boys claimed their fourth win of the campaign following their thrilling 4-3 victory over Orlando Pirates at the Moses Mabhida on Saturday.
The victory moved Wits up to second place in the Absa Premiership standings with 12 points, having won four and conceded one defeat in their first five games in the league.
‘Credit to the boys, we worked very hard especially tonight; it wasn’t easy out there. But we just had to be calm and show character. Once again credit to the boys, we worked hard,’ Monare told SuperSport TV after the game.
‘We’re focusing more on collecting the ball as a team. We work as a team, we defend as a team and we attack as a team.
‘We don’t give strikers that pressure to say they must score goals. We just work and collecting points as much as we can.’
