Kaizer Chiefs forward Keagan Dolly says his telepathic connection with teammate Khama Billiat goes all the way back to 2012.
The duo showed impressive combinations as they helped blow Chippa United away this past weekend as they finally look to be regaining the prolific partnership they enjoyed at previous clubs Ajax Cape Town and Mamelodi Sundowns.
Dolly and Billiat combined in each of the club’s opening three goals in the 4-0 win over the Chilli Boys and, speaking to the Chiefs media team after the encounter, the former Montpellier man admitted they just know where the other will be.
“With me and Khama, I don’t know how to explain it, if I’m on the ball I know which run he is going to make and he knows how to run and where I am going to pass it and vice versa – if he’s on the ball I know what to do,” Dolly told the media team post-match.
“This started in 2012 when I met him at Ajax Cape Town and it’s just been building and growing. You can see when we play together that we just understand each other.”
With their performance over the weekend, the duo have now directly combined for 10 goals across the 72 matches they have played alongside each other and will be looking to add to that at Naturena.
