Orlando Pirates defender Thulani Hlatshwayo says the Sea Robbers have to make sure they do better in the upcoming season but believes they knew where they went wrong last year.
The man known as Tyson joined Pirates from the the now defunct Bidvest Wits before ethe start of last season, but it wasn’t the season he anticipated as Pirates struggled for consistency in the league despite bagiging the MTN8 trophy.
Pirates are without a league title since the 2011/12 season and Hlatshwayo insisted that the aim is always to win the big one.
“The aim is always to go for the big one,” Hlatshwayo said at the Pirates kit launch. “We have to make sure we do better in the new season because we know where we went wrong last year.”
“We suffered injuries at crucial times throughout the season, that’s what let us down. But we hope for better luck this time, starting with the [Carling Cup] match next weekend [against Kaizer Chiefs]. It should set the tone for the season,” Hlatshwayo said.
