The Brazilians opened the scoring when Andile Jali intercepted the ball from Thabang Monare before his blistering run down the right flank to pick out Themba Zwane, who cut the ball back for Gaston Sirino to slot the ball into an empty net making it 1-0.

Meanwhile, Wits levelled matters just before the break when Deon Hotto showed composure to control Richardo Goss’s goal kick before setting up Motupa, whose bullet header beat Dennis Onyango to find the net.
