The Premier Soccer League has named Marc van Heerden, George Lebese, Oscarine Masuluke and Percy Tau as the first recipients of the Absa Premiership Goal of the Month award.
Baroka goalkeeper Oscarine Masuluke’s superb bicycle kick in stoppage time against Orlando Pirates at the Peter Mokaba Stadium picked up the prize for November. He became the first outfield player to win the award since the inception of the award.
Meanwhile, Chippa United defender Van Heerden saw his long-range strike against Baroka awarded the Absa Premiership Goal of the Month for August-September.
Kaizer Chiefs midfielder George Lebese picked up the October prize for his brilliant solo effort against Ajax Cape Town, while Mamelodi Sundowns forward Percy Tau was the December winner for his well-taken diving header in his side’s win over Free State Stars.
Each of the monthly goals were chosen as the best from the online votes by football supporters and the general public, who picked their favourite goals through the Premier Soccer League website.
Absa, proud sponsors of the Absa Premiership, have rewarded football supporters, who voted for the winning goals from August-September to December, with the jersey of their favourite PSL club. The winning fans were chosen in a random draw, after voting for their favourite goal.
