Amajita and Bidvest Wits defender Bradley Cross is reportedly attracting interest from top Premier League clubs in England.

The 19-year-old defender is currently on loan at Bundesliga outfit Schalke from Absa Premiership side Bidvest Wits.

Cross is expected to return to the Clever Boys at the end of the current campaign, having already spent two seasons with the Royal Blues.

However, Cross reportedly has one year left on his contract and Wits together with Gavin Hunt could cash in on the highly rated teenager during the next transfer window.

The respected defender, who has already made 18 appearances for Schalke’s U19 side this season, has caught the eyes of a number of EPL clubs while playing alongside starlet Malick Thiaw, who is on the radar of Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool.

The South African U20 international has a UK passport which means he can qualify as a homegrown player for clubs in England.

‘Premier League scouts will watch Schalke Under-19 defender Bradley Cross when football resumes in Germany,’ according to the Daily Mail.

‘The 19-year-old centre-back is on loan with the Bundesliga club from South African side Bidvest Wits and has benefited from playing alongside the highly-rated Malick Thiaw, who has been watched closely by Europe’s elite clubs this season.’
