Orlando Pirates coach Josef Zinnbauer believes that he has some very good quality in his squad at Pirates and that the club is amongst the best on the continent.
The German coach oversaw a 3-1 victory over Black Leopards in his first game at the Soweto giants.
In what is his first job on the continent Zinnbauer admitted that he is excited by the potential of his new team.
“Before I came here, I watched a few games on the TV and I saw a very good quality in the team, and Pirates is a big club in Africa,” Zinnbauer said in his first post-match press conference.
“It’s very interesting and the players are very, very fast and quick, and they have a good technical [level]. I think we’ll improve more in terms of tactics, and then I think we’ll get a good resolution for success.
“Last week we had a good training camp and during this camp we had a lot of training sessions – what we can do is to improve tactically, but we see that with the ball, we’re good; without the ball we have to work on this and we’ll get it.”
