Orlando Pirates coach Josef Zinnbauer believes it will not be so easy for Mamelodi Sundowns in their Absa Premiership clash on Wednesday night because his team will fight for the three points.
Pirates and Sundowns meet at Orlando Stadium in a clash that has become much more than just the three points.
Pitso Mosimane’s charges will be hoping to close the gap on log-leaders Kaizer Chiefs while Pirates are looking to continue their improvements under their new German coach.
Speaking in the buildup to the game, Zinnbauer admitted that while Sundowns have a quality team who have been together for years, his side will be aiming to claim all three points.
‘I was at their game on Saturday … the opposition [USM Alger] was top but I could see when they change [substitute], the next player is no different to the player that comes out,’ the 49-year-old tactician noted.
‘Their substitutes are very good and they have a big performance. They’ve played for the last few years together and they have a coach that is maybe six or seven years at the club.
‘They make so [finger snap], and the players know what they want. It’s a good club and they make a perfect performance. They make good games in the last weeks.
‘It’s going to be a fight that’s very hard for us, but we have a chance. In football, you always have a chance, and it’s not as if we say, “Ooh, Sundowns is coming.” No! We are Pirates,’ he added confidently.

‘We have seven points [from three games], it’s not so easy for Sundowns. Come, please! We have nothing to lose with Sundowns coming. We are not the favourites in this game, it’s Sundowns.
‘It’s not as if we’ll say, “Hey, come please, take the points, you can go home.” No! We’ll fight for the three points,’ concluded the Pirates coach.
