Orlando Pirates coach Josef Zinnbauer admits that his side do not have any luck at the moment after conceding a 1-0 defeat to Cape Town City on Sunday.
The Buccaneers are winless in their last six games in the Absa Premiership, with their last win coming against Black Leopards at the Thohoyandou Stadium on 16 February 2020.
Pirates now find themselves out of the title race and currently sit fifth in the league standings – with 43 points from 27 matches played so far this season.
Zinnbauer admits his side are finding it difficult to play in the bio-bubble but is positive they will bounce back having got more time on the field.
‘It is not so easy, now we have a little more time to go to the field, we can work with the team about the final third. We have to work on it not this week but after, in the pre-season and the next season,’ Zinnbauer told the media after the game.
‘But it is not so easy to work with the team in the bubble, it is not an excuse, but it is not easy and the recovery is important for the players, so we have to be careful with the work and the muscles.
‘But we get it now. We will work on the turnaround, we do our best and the players do their best. I can’t say it was a bad game and that they don’t work; no, they work but we didn’t have the luck in the moment and the feeling for the final pass and the final shot. Now we have to work on these problems.’
