According to reports in Belgium, Bafana Bafana star Percy Tau is set to return to the country for a third successive season as Anderlecht look to secure a loan signing of the forward.
The 26-year-old, who is on the books of Premier League side Brighton & Hove Albion, has spent the last two seasons on loan in the country due to issues in securing a work visa in England.
Having bid Club Brugge farewell following the expiry of his season-long loan deal last week, the forward appears to close to a move back to Belgium with Anderlecht, according to Belgian publication HLN.
Tau shook up the lower division in Belgium with his loan move to Royale Union Saint-Gilloise straight after leaving Sundowns.
In his first season, he featured in 34 matches across all competitions, finding the back of the net 11 times while also registering 13 assists, receiving the Proximus League Player of the Season award for his efforts.
This caught the eye of Club Brugge who secured Tau’s signature for the 2019-20 campaign, but the forward failed to hit the heights of the previous campaign as he managed four goals in 30 appearances in all competitions for Brugge while grabbing eight assists.
However, it appears another loan deal is on the cards with HLN reporting talks between Brighton and Anderlecht are at an advanced stage, with Tau reportedly already undergoing medicals with Anderlecht in South Africa.
