Keagan Dolly to play his first SA match since joining Montpellier

Bafana Bafana international playmaker Keagan Dolly made his third start for Ligue 1 side Montpellier in a mixed weekend for South Africans playing abroad.

Dolly will have mixed emotions after making his third consecutive start after seeing his side come from behind to beat Saint-Etienne on Sunday. But the young South African was hauled off at the break as his side moved into 11th place following the 2-1 win.

Kermit Erasmus, who has featured just twice for Ligue 2 Lens this season, will be hoping to get onto the field when they travel to face Orleans on Monday. Erasmus has tasted just 20 minutes of league action this season as he continues to struggle for game time abroad.

Former Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Bongani Zungu started and completed his side’s 1-1 draw against Belenses as he continues to grow in his role at Vitoria Guimaraes.

Andile Jali was on the wrong side of a 3-1 defeat on Sunday as the Bafana star entered the fold with just over 15 minutes to play as KV Oostende went down 3-1 to Anderlecht. One-cap South African striker Lars Veldwijk was also on the losing side as KV Kortrijk lost 1-0 to AS  Eupen.

Lebogang Phiri played 90 minutes as Brondby held Copenhagen to a goalless draw while Tokelo Rantie featured for 66 minutes as  Genclerbirligi secured a 2-0 win over Konyaspor in Turkey’s top flight.

On Monday, May Mahlangu will attempt to help Dinamo Bucuresti arrest a four-game winless run when they host Botosani in Romania’s top flight. Mahlangu’s side are in seventh place as they face the side just a spot below them after 23 matches played in the campaign.
