South African Lars Veldwijk scored another hat-trick in Sparta Rotterdam’s 6-1 victory against Almere City over the weekend, writes DYLAN APPOLIS.

Lebogang Mothiba

The Bafana Bafana international was among the goal-scorers as Strasbourg settled for a 2-2 draw with Caen in the French Ligue 1 on Sunday evening.

Mothiba scored his side’s second goal of the game after 23 minutes to take his goal tally to eight from 14 appearances in the French top flight.

Lars Veldwijk

Lars Veldwijk scored another hat-trick while also claiming an assist as Sparta Rotterdam trashed Almere City 6-1 in the Dutch second tier on Friday.

The South African forward has now scored a total of 16 goals from 17 appearance for the Dutch side this season.

Percy Tau

The former Mamelodi Sundowns star lasted the full 90 minutes for Royale Union Saint-Gilloise as they claimed a 2-0 victory over Lommel to move up to third in the Belgium Proximus League.

Although the 24-year-old didn’t get his name on the scoresheet, he has already scored six goals and assisted a further five from 16 appearances in all competitions.

Siphiwe Tshabalala

The former Kaizer Chiefs veteran came on as a second-half substitute and played the last 30 minutes as Erzurumspor suffered a 3-1 defeat to Yeni Malatyaspor, which sees them dropped down to 15th place in the Turkish Super Lig standings after 15 games.

Thulani Serero

The former Ajax Cape Town player played the full game for Vitesse in his 14th league appearance as they fell to a 2-1 defeat to NAC Breda in the Dutch Eredivisie, leaving them seventh on the league standings after 15 matches.

Kamohelo Mokotjo

The Bafana Bafana midfielder played the final 20 minutes for Brentford after his six-week spell on the sidelines as they went down 3-2 to Swansea City in the English Championship. They have now dropped down to 18th place in the league standings after 21 matches.

May Mahlangu

Mahlangu came on as a second-half substitute to play the final nine minutes as Ludogorets secured a 2-0 victory over Slavia Sofia in the Bulgarian Parva Liga to send them six points clear at the top of the table after 19 matches.

Lebogang Phiri/Bongani Zungu

Lebogang Phiri was an unused substitute as Guingamp fell to a 2-1 defeat to Bongani Zungu’s Amiens side, which sees them remain at the bottom of the table with eight points from 17 games, while Amiens occupy 17th place.

Luther Singh

Singh made six appearance for Portuguese outfit Sporting Braga II and played the full 90 minutes as his side thumped Mafra 6-1 in the Portuguese second tier, which lifts them into 12th place on the table after 11 matches.
