Bafana Bafana star Bongani Zungu is attracting interest from clubs across Europe as he looks to seal a move away from French club Amiens.
Zungu was close to sealing a move to Spanish club Real Maallorca in the January transfer window but the deal fell through at the eleventh hour.
He ended up staying in France aiming to help his team stay in Ligue 1, but the coronavirus pandemic threw a major spanner in the works as the French football season was ended early and Zungu’s club was subsequently relegated to Ligue 2.
Since then the relegated clubs have taken the league to court and have had the decision overturned but even though Amiens could be in the top-flight, Zungu looks destined to leave.
The Bafana star admitted before the decision was made that he wanted to leave for a new challenge and though it is believed that Real Mallorca could come back in for the midfielder, reports in France are also suggestion that Steven Gerrarrd and Scottish giant Rangers are also interested in his services.
It will likely be a busy off season for the 27-year-old who will be looking to secure a big move to take his career to the next level.
