AC Milan have announced the signing of England midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek from Chelsea on four-year contract.

Loftus-Cheek, a midfielder, is going to Milan for a reported fee of around 21 million euros ($22.8 million). He has been with Chelsea his whole career, except for two loan stints at Crystal Palace and Fulham.

Milan said in a statement that Loftus-Cheek has signed a four-year deal that is worth four million euros per season, according to Italian media.

Fikayo Tomori, who also plays for England and went to the Chelsea Academy, is also at the San Siro.

He will replace Sandro Tonali, an Italian player, who is going to Newcastle for about €80 million because Milan wants to go in a different direction without Paolo Maldini.

Maldini, a famous player for Milan, was fired from his job as technical director along with Frederic Massara earlier this month. This made fans angry.

Loftus-Cheek has played for England 10 times, but he hasn’t done so since 2018.

He won’t be the only young player from Chelsea to leave this summer. Mason Mount is set to move to Manchester United for a lot of money.
