Kaizer Chiefs forward Bernard Parker says that although he is contributing to the team’s recent success, he wants to add more goals to further help the Soweto giants reach their goals.
Chiefs are back in action after the international break as they face Maritzburg United in the Telkom Knockout against Maritzburg United on Sunday afternoon.
Parker, who has spent nine seasons at Chiefs, has become a trusted player of coach Ernst Middendorp and with a 100% scoring record in cup matches against the Team of Choice, he is looking to contribute more goals this weekend.
‘We have faced them over the years in crucial cup games. I was not really aware that I have scored against them in cup games – it will be good to score again‚’ Parker said this week.

‘As much as I am contributing to the team‚ I would like to add goals to my game to help the team go even further. It’s a psychological boost going into this game and for me to make something out of it‚ given the chance.’
Parker has not scored this season in his 14 appearances across the league and cup competitions, but he did win the decisive penalty in the 3-2 victory over Orlando Pirates two weeks ago.
