Bidvest Wits winger Vincent Pule is confident his side will rediscover their form following their triumph over Bloemfontein Celtic in the Telkom Knockout final.

The Clever Boys claimed their first piece of silverware this campaign after claiming a narrow victory over Bloemfontein Celtic in the final.

Pule admits that he stuck to the coaches instructions and tactics and was rewarded in the last minute of the match as his brilliant goal proved to be the difference at the Princess Magogo Stadium.

‘The coach told me I should stay behind (Amr) Gamal and not allow them [Celtic] to play at the back, just play as the second striker,’ Pule said after Wits’ TKO triumph.

‘And while I was on the bench, the coach kept telling me I must watch the game, stay focused and at the end I scored. But what I can say is that we played well, we fought hard and I just had to do the job.’

The 25-year-old is confident that Wits will rediscover their form after lifting the Telkom Knockout Cup on Saturday.

‘I think this win is going to change the season for us because we haven’t been doing very well,’ he added.

‘As a team we are fighting. This team has a lot of fighters.’

Bidvest Wits will now welcome Ajax Cape Town to the Bidvest Stadium when the two sides meet in the Absa Premiership on Wednesday, with kick-off scheduled for 19:30.
