Kaizer Chiefs defender Ramahlwe Mphahlele has spoken about his wonder strike against SuperSport United that secured his side’s spot in the Telkom Knockout semi-finals.
The 28-year-old netted his third goal of the season in all competitions, moments after midfielder Willard Katsande missed a penalty to give his side the lead in their TKO quarter-final clash at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Sunday evening.

‘I wanted to take a touch but I saw that the ball was coming nicely to me, I just had to lean on the ball and just strike it,’ the former Mamelodi Sundowns captain revealed.
‘It was a wonderful goal. After missing a penalty, we had to come back quicker. I’m happy. I don’t usually score these kinds of goals. It was a damn good goal. I’m happy that we won. That’s the most important thing,’ he concluded.
Chiefs will look to avenge their Soweto derby defeat to Orlando Pirates after being drawn to face their arch-rivals in the TKO semis, while defending champions Bidvest Wits do duty against Baroka.
