Mamelodi Sundowns cruised into the Telkom Knockout quarters with a resounding 5-0 win over AmaZulu on Sunday.
Downs coach Mosimane returned to his preferred XI after the international break as they looked to seal their progression to the next round.
AmaZulu on the other hand were hoping to upset the Absa Premiership champions and use a cup run to help build a foundation under their new coach.
Sundowns dominated the opening stages of the game but struggled to find the killer pass, with their only opening a penalty appeal after a Mario Booysens challenge in the AmaZulu box.
Down though eventually got the break through on the stroke of half time as Ali Meza got on the end of a unselfish square ball from Themba Zwane to have a simple tap in to open the scoring.
Usuthu were fighting an uphill battle in the second half and it was made worse when Booysen headed into his own net after a lack of communication with his goalkeeper in the 55th minute.
Masadawana then added a third with 20 minuted remaining as Sirino slotted home from the penalty spot after Thapelo Morena was tripped in the penalty box.
Sirino then completed his brace seven minutes later as he placed his low driven shot beyond the AmaZulu keeper.
New Downs striker Mauricio Affonso came on as a substitute to net the fifth and final goal with a powerful header in the closing stages.
