The Team of Choice took the lead in Saturday’s final through Moseamedi when he snuck in at the back to poke the ball beyond Dennis Onyango in the Downs goal.
The Brazilians though fought back and were fired into the lead through two headed goals from Mauricio Affonso.
Pitso Mosimane’s men were on the verge of victory when Moseamedi again ghosted in at the back before heading home a cross.
Wild celebration broke out until the incensed Maritzburg United bench saw the linesman flag raised.
