Chelsea have confirmed that Reece James, N’Golo Kante and Christian Pulisic were all back out on the training pitch ahead of their must-win Champions League clash against Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday evening.
The three Chelsea players didn’t play on the weekend against Leeds United. James missed the game because of a tight hamstring.
Reece did full training on the grass with teammates Pulisic and Kante, who have also been out because of hamstring injuries.
Graham Potter wants to be the second English manager to win five Champions League games in a single season. The return of either N’Golo Kante or Christian Pulisic to the team could give him and the Blues a huge boost before the last-16 match.
Wesley Fofana, who scored the game-winning goal and was the best player on Saturday, was also in training, as were Kalidou Koulibaly and Trevoh Chalobah.
Additions in January Enzo Fernandez, Joao Felix, and Mykhailo Mudryk all took part. However, Thiago Silva and Mason Mount were not able to play because they had been hurt in recent weeks.
Cesar Azpilicueta did not play, and Armando Broja and Edouard Mendy are still out for a longer time, though Potter said last week that Edouard Mendy is almost ready to start training with the team again.
