Paris Saint-Germain have reached the Champions League final for the first time in their history after 3-0 victory over RB Leipzig in Lisbon on Tuesday night.

After a ferocious PSG start in which they twice went close, they deservedly went ahead on 13 minutes when a glorious Ángel di María cross was headed home emphatically by Marquinhos.

A close range miss from Yussuf Poulsen let the French champions off the hook and Leipzig were punished when PSG pounced for a second shortly before half-time, Di María turning scorer this time to steer home.

Any lingering Leipzig hopes of a comeback were extinguished just 11 minutes after the break when Juan Bernat scored a third for the rampant Parisians, Di María notching his second assist of the evening to wrap up a comfortable night’s work.
