England forward Theo Walcott believes Bayern Munich will face a different Arsenal side when the two side’s meet in the Champions League Last 16 on February 15.
Having played the German side in three of the past four seasons, the Gunners have once again been drawn against the Bundesliga champions in the round of 16.
The England forward admits that the Gunners will be a very different side to the one the Bundesliga side previously faced, stating that his side are more focused and dedicated.
‘You’ve got to face the best teams in the Champions League,’ Walcott told the Arsenal website.
‘We’ve just got to look at ourselves and think how we’ve improved this season compared to the seasons we’ve played them recently. We lost 5-1 at their place last season, we can’t be doing stuff like that. We’re a lot more resilient this year.
‘I can’t really see that happening. We’re a lot more focused and dedicated. Who knows? We’ll see, but we’ll give them a good game, definitely.’
Arsenal will next travel to Manchester City when the two side’s lock horns on Sunday.
The match at the Etihad Stadium kicks off at 18:00.
