Gonzalo Higuain scored twice to hand Juventus a 2-0 victory over Monaco in the Champions League semi-final first-leg at Stade Louis II on Monday.
The Argentine striker gave the visitors the lead in the 29th minute with a low finish into the bottom left corner from inside the area after latching onto a backheel from Dani Alves.
Higuain then added a second in the 59th minute when he poked the ball home from close-range after Alves’ measured cross.
Juventus, who are yet to concede a goal in over 600 minutes of Champions League football, will defend their two-goal lead in the second leg when they welcome Monaco to the Juventus Stadium next Tuesday.
