South Africa’s Kevin Anderson combined with Jack Sock to claim a famous doubles victory over Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic in a Laver Cup clash on Friday.

Anderson and Sock, representing Team World, needed a tie-breaker to defeat two of the best singles players, Federer and Djokovic, 2-1.

Djokovic and Federer took a while to get settled, but the first set of the match was eventually won by the much-fancied pair as they took a 1-0 lead after a 7-5 win in the tie-break.

Anderson and Sock had a chance to break in the second game of the second set, but they could not convert on both break points they had. The pair had another chance in the fourth game; this time, they took it to have a 3-1 advantage.
