The Cleveland Cavaliers beat the Golden State Warriors 137-116 in Cleveland on Friday in Game 4 of the NBA Finals.

A win for the Warriors would have seen them win the Finals series 4-0 and become the first team to go 16-0 in the playoffs.

The Cavaliers, though, had other ideas, scoring an NBA-record 49 points in the opening quarter and a record 86 points in the half.

Cleveland went on to score 137 points, the most in a Finals game since 1987, with Kyrie Irving finishing with 40, LeBron James 31 and Kevin Love 23.

Last year, the Cavaliers became the first team to come back from 3-1 down in an NBA Finals series to win 4-3. To defend their crown, they need to make history again, by becoming the first to win it having trailed 3-0.

Game 5 will take place in Oakland on Monday.
