England faced Portugal in what was nothing more than warm-up fixture for Euro 2016 on Thursday but there was nothing friendly about Bruno Alves.

The 34-year-old Portugal defender seemingly parted ways with his judgement as he launched into a kung fu style challenge that caught England striker Harry Kane in the head.

The offence earned the Fenerbahçe star a straight red as Portugal went on to lose 1-0 to a Chris Smalling header.
